The Best Start for Your Puppy

Designed for puppies 9 weeks to 4 months of age, our 6-week Puppy Foundation Class helps your puppy build confidence, develop good manners, and create a strong bond with you using positive reinforcement and age-appropriate socialization.

Your puppy will learn essential foundation skills while safely experiencing new people, sounds, surfaces, and environments. Along the way, you'll learn how to communicate effectively with your puppy and prevent common behavior problems before they begin.

Eligible puppies will have the opportunity to earn their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy title by completing the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluation during the final class.

Not every puppy is ready to move on after Puppy Foundation—and that's perfectly okay! Our Puppy Refresher class is designed for puppies (4-6 months old) who simply need a little more time practicing their foundation skills before advancing to Manners.

This class reinforces essential behaviors like attention, loose leash walking, coming when called, polite greetings, and impulse control while introducing new challenges and distractions to build reliability. Puppies will continue to strengthen their confidence through positive socialization, enrichment activities, and real-world experiences in a supportive learning environment.

Whether your puppy needs extra practice, missed some training, or would benefit from additional confidence-building, Puppy Refresher provides the perfect next step to ensure they're ready for the transition into our Manners program.

Perfect for graduates of Puppy 2 class or dogs new to training or that may need a few refreshers. Manners 1 covers all the basics: polite greetings, leash walking, sit, down, stay, and more. A solid starting point for everyday skills—and a great step toward Canine Good Citizen (CGC) prep.

A next-level course for Manners 1 grads. We strengthen core skills, add new ones, and begin real-world applications. Graduation day includes an optional AKC CGC evaluation—a wonderful milestone for many dogs and their people.

For graduates of Manners 2, this class adds distance, distractions, and duration to known behaviors. Think: reliable stays in busy spaces, calm walking around other dogs, and more real-life scenarios. Graduation includes the optional AKC Advanced CGC test.

For advanced Manners 3 grads, this class preps dogs for real-world challenges—urban settings, public transport, and service-dog-level focus. It’s the final step before advanced service dog work, and graduation includes the optional AKC Urban CGC test.

Open to pups 5 months or older, this 3-week workshop teaches fun tricks that double as redirection tools and bonding exercises. Tricks keep dogs mentally engaged and focused on you—the most exciting person in the room! The AKC Novice Trick Dog evaluation is not available for this class.

Periodically we’ll offer workshops that focus on special training goals, like: flipping the script on jump-greetings, coffeeshop and cafe socialization, mouthy teen puppies, etc.. All graduates of Manners 1 are welcome to join. Check for more info as workshops become available.
